How Does It Work
Adapalene is a retinoid-like compound that acts as a modulator of cell differentiation, keratinization, and inflammatory processes, all of which represent important features in the pathology of acne vulgaris.
Benzoyl Peroxide releases free radical oxygen which oxidize bacterial proteins in the sebaceous follicles which kills anaerobic bacteria and decreasing irritating-type free fatty acids.

Precautions
Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to tretinoin or any component of the formulation. Watch for signs of an allergic reaction which can include: rash; hives; itching; red, swollen, blistered or peeling skin with or without fever; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing or talking; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue or throat. Risk of photosensitivity and skin irritation.
Usual Dosing
Apply to affected area(s) once daily

How to Take: Follow instructions provided by physician/pharmacy label, apply consistently at same times each day unless otherwise directed, apply to clean, dry skin, store at room temperature. Cleanse skin and pat dry before applying. Store at room temperature. Benzoyl peroxide may cause bleaching of hair or fabrics such as on pillowcases when applied to face before bed.
You Need to Avoid: Avoid using occlusive dressing or wrappings. For external use only; not for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use. Avoid applying to inside nose, mouth, lips, eyes, vagina, and mucous membranes or to areas of broken skin. Avoid applying other topicals at the same time unless otherwise directed to avoid dilution of product. Avoid concomitant use of other potentially irritating topical products (medicated or abrasive soaps and cleansers, soaps and cosmetics that have strong skin-drying effect and products with high concentrations of alcohol, astringents, spices, or limes)
Side Effects
Application site scaling, local dryness, erythema (redness), desquamation (peeling), itch, burning, stinging, contact dermatitis
