Estriol (E3) – Estrogen Derivative; Hormone Replacement Therapy
(Common Strength: 0.005- 0.3%)
How Does It Work
Estriol (E3) –Estrogens are responsible for the development and maintenance of the female reproductive system and secondary sexual characteristics; estrogens modulate the pituitary secretion of gonadotropins, luteinizing hormone, and follicle-stimulating hormone through a negative feedback system; estrogen replacement reduces elevated levels of these hormones in postmenopausal women. Estriol is one of three endogenous estrogens but is comparatively weak and produced in lower levels than estradiol.
