How Does It Work
Besifloxacin, Besivance is an antibiotic that inhibits two enzymes that are essential for the synthesis and replication of bacterial DNA: the bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV.

Precautions
Before using Besifloxacin, Besivance makes sure your physician is aware of any allergies or medications you currently take, pre-existing medical conditions, and activities you perform. Prolonged use of Besifloxacin, Besivance can cause fungal or bacterial superinfection. Discontinue use and initiate alternative therapy if superinfection occurs.
Usual Dosing
Usual (Ophthalmic): Instill 1 drop into the affected eye(s) 3 times daily (4 to 12 hours apart) for 7 days
Pharmacist Tips On Using
How to Take: For topical ophthalmic use only. Wash hands before and after installation. Invert bottle while closed and shake once prior to each administration. Avoid contaminating the applicator tip with the affected eye(s), fingers, or other sources.
Side Effects
Conjunctival redness; blurred vision, eye irritation, eye pain, eye pruritus
